I love all the people ragging on Valentine’s Day for being a commercial holiday. This is America, there’s no such thing as a non commercial holiday. Also got to love the bitter-intentioned ” single’s awareness day. ” Every day is single’s awareness day, I say let the lovers have their laugh.

Isn’t it funny how everything changes. A couple months ago a house could still be just frameworks of wood, and now it’s completely furnished with a family living in it. It’s the exact same thing with friends. The people the year before you loved and thought would be in your life forever are now just people you awkwardly pass in the hallways. You say hey, or give an acknowledging head nod but you don’t really stop and talk. It’s a scary thing to think that these people are the ones you talked to everyday and shared your secrets with. These people, who are now practically strangers, know so much about you. Its makes you think how long you’ll really know the people who you now say will be in your life forever.
